Description
Antique Regent silver plated wine or Champagne bottle holder. Stamped on the underside Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street with the White Star Line flag and star emblem and registration number ‘Rd 451002’.
Dating from 1904/1905, this Art Nouveau design was made for the luxury A La Carte restaurants on the Olympic class ocean liners. This is the same design that would have been supplied to the most well known White Star liner – RMS Titanic.
Good condition, but has clearly served afloat on numerous occasions with scratches and wear as expected.
