An Austin’s of Elgin Scotland round wooden box. With a Scottish design on the lid featuring a bagpiper thistle, and the words ‘Frae Bonnie Scotland‘
This charming wooden box has a gold coloured interior and would probably have held a cake or some Scottish shortbread.
Austin’s Tearoom & Bakery opened in the earlier 1900s, was a hugely popular eatery and a real favourite with locals and visitors alike.
Good used condition, with signs of age and wear as expected.
