A pencil drawing of Chiddingstone Village in Kent, signed F.W. Barnett 1972. A scene of the Hight Street with the Castle Inn and the gates to the Castle. Framed mounted and behind glass. 

Good condition, with a little wear to the frame.

Approximate Measurements: 16″ x 14″ including frame, picture area 10¾” x 9″

Chiddingstone is unique in that, apart from the church and the Castle, the entire village is owned by the National Trust. It is described as being ” the most perfect surviving example of a Tudor village in the county”. The village has been used as a location in several films one of which was “A Room With A View” 1985. The road in this picture is in the scene where Lucy and Cecil take a walk after their engagement party.
