A Portland Pottery King George VI and Queen Elizabeth ( The Queen mother) mug made to commemorative the Royal Visit to Australia in 1949. Unfortunately King George VI was taken ill before the visit so wasn’t able to go, so Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh made the visit instead.

Featuring King George VI and Queen Elizabeth with a laurel leaf, and on the back is the Crown GR, rose, thistle, shamrock, daffodil, impressed at the top 1949. In yellow with hand painted accents.
