Vintage Art Deco Metal Photo Frame With Glass, Wood Backed Freestanding

A metal Art Deco photo frame with original glass, card mount and wood back with built in stand. This is a very interesting frame as it has a patent number which I believe refers to the mechanism used for holding the back in place, invented by Warren Frederick Flessblles.

There is a label on the back with instructions for removing and replacing the back. The manufacturers name is impressed in the wood on the stand. Made in England around 1925.

Here is the link to the Patent No. 21535

The metal frame has discolouration and tarnishing, and the glass has nibbles at the edges, but these are not visible from the front. The mount has a little damage. Please see all the photos as these show the condition. The mechanism works well. The little frame has a lot of charm and has probably seen a lot of life, so can be forgiven for looking a little worn.

Approximate Measurements: 8.25″ x 6.25″ including frame, the mount aperture is 5″ x 3″
